Kindergarten/Senior Walk Information

There is a tradition in Lorena ISD in which Senior Class walks the length of the football field following the final home football game. It is a powerful moment in the lives of seniors and their families as they take the final Friday night walk, arms linked together as a class.

This year, we are carrying on the annual tradition of the Kindergarten/Senior Walk. The Kindergarten class—our newest LEOPARDS—and the Senior Class walk from opposite end zones and meet at the middle of the football field. Once at the 50 yard line, the Senior Class will pass on their “Leopard Pride” signaling the start of the Kindergarteners adventure as a Lorena Leopard.

Wednesday, September 20th, we would love for you and your Little Leopard to meet us at the north end zone of the football field (the concession stand end) following the parade to carry on this tradition. The walk will begin at the beginning of the pep rally (probably around 7:00.) Parents, we ask that you walk with your child to the 50 yard line. Once at the 50 yard line, your child will present a Leopard Paw to a Senior student. After the exchange, you will then move to the bleachers for the community pep rally.
